<p>The curtain coater (1) for delivering a liquid to pasty application medium (5) on a surface (4) of a running paper-, cardboard- or other fibrous material web that moves itself in a direction (L) proximate to the gravity in the form of single- or multi-layered curtain, comprises a curtain application head (2), an application medium chamber (6), a supply line for feeding the application medium chamber, and a dosing gap, which originates from the application medium chamber, is included between the two segments of the curtain application head and passes into a discharge opening. The curtain coater (1) for delivering a liquid to pasty application medium (5) on a surface (4) of a running paper-, cardboard- or other fibrous material web that moves itself in a direction (L) proximate to the gravity in the form of single- or multi-layered curtain, comprises a curtain application head (2), an application medium chamber (6), a supply line for feeding the application medium chamber, and a dosing gap, which originates from the application medium chamber, is included between the two segments of the curtain application head and passes into a discharge opening for discharging the application medium and/or curtain. The curtain application head extends in its length over the total width of the surface to be coated. The dosing gap contains an elongated dosing body adapted to the length of the curtain application head. The dosing body is formed as profiled rod or strip with comb-like passages and is producible and provided with different sizes of profiles and/or any shapes. The dosing body is incorporated in an insert, which is installable into or removable from the application head. The insert corresponds to the length of the dosing body, and consists of non-rusting steel. The insert is arranged in one of the segments and a wear protective plate is integrated in the other segment. The wear protective plate lies opposite to the insert and/or the dosing body, is made of plastic or metal, and is provided with a wear protective layer consisting of ceramic support or hard-metal support. The dosing body is pressable to a pneumatically or hydraulically operated pressure tube or spring elements with a contact pressing force against the wear protective plate and/or the oppositely-lying segment. The insert has a lateral lug, which seals off the lateral edge of the dosing gap and/or the discharge opening. The insert is producible and provided with the lateral lug in different lengths and is interchangeable against the insert of another length. The dosing body has a base acting as a shutoff valve on its both ends with smooth outer circumference for limiting the coating width. The axial length of the lug is producible and provided in different sizes and the produced dosing body is interchangeable against a further dosing body. The dosing body that is formed as rotatable profiled cylindrical rod has a diameter of 10-25 mm. The dosing body is arranged to the discharge opening in a vertical distance, which is 50-200 mm. The dosing body is laterally pushed in and pushed out from the application head with or without insert, and is installable or removable after opening and/or opening the segment with or without insert.</p> |
