<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the miniaturization and reduction of noise of a frequency synthesizer. <P>SOLUTION: The frequency synthesizer includes an optical fiber whose one end is connected with an output stage of an optical modulator, an optical micro wave converter which is connected with another end of the optical fiber and converts an optical modulation signal modulated by the optical modulator to a micro wave modulation signal, a plurality of band-pass filter, a switch which selects a specified band-pass filter among the plurality of band-pass filters, and an amplifier which amplifies the output of the specified band-pass filter selected by the switch to feed it back to the optical modulator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
