<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming support apparatus for using image data for CTP by on-demand printing in consideration of recording on front and back sides. <P>SOLUTION: Orient tag of image file data of TIFF format created by RIP processing is referred to (106), layout information such as imposition arrangement and an adhering position of each page are calculated with a BEP device based on the file size, and electronically cut (106), and vertical direction of each page is aligned (108-110).
