<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cornice preventive device for surely preventing the generation of a cornice even in case of a large quantity of snowballs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A wire gauze 10 and a coarse gauze 20 having different mesh sizes are disposed in upright on a mounting surface 100, and the upper end sections of both net surfaces are connected mutually while lower end sections are separated. When a wind is blown against the cornice preventive device 1, snow is blown up along the coarse gauze 20 on the windward side. When the weather is recovered, warmth flows into a space between the two net surfaces through the wire gauze 10 on the leeward side, snow riding on the coarse gauze 20 and snow lying in the space between the two net surfaces are melted by the warmth. Snow lying in the space between the two net surfaces is dammed up by the wire gauze 10. Consequently, the generation of the cornice is prevented surely. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
