PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device for a game, playing a musical instrument to input necessary information to a game device, and also to provide an input interface device, an information processing device, a computer program, a recording medium, and an information generation method.

SOLUTION: A rhythm pattern extraction part 231 extracts a prescribed rhythm pattern from MID data. A fill-in pattern extraction part 232 extracts a prescribed fill-in pattern from the MIDI data. A character information generation part 251 generates, on the basis of the combination of the extracted rhythm pattern and fill-in pattern, character information to specify a character such as HIRAGANA (Japanese phonetic characters), English alphabets or numerals. An operation information generation part 252 generates, on the basis of the combination of the extracted rhythm pattern and fill-in pattern, operation information to specify a cursor moving operation, a mouse operation, or an operation for switching a special command or an input mode.
