<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information code reading method for shortening the reading period of a plurality of information codes. <P>SOLUTION: The plurality of information codes are recognized to be aligned and arranged in virtual grid lines (g) of a matrix shape of rows M and columns N. The reading order of the information codes in the virtual grid lines (g) of the matrix shape of the rows M and columns N is determined along the rows.
