PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-resistant, water-resistant control/monitor terminal for performing address setting and initial setting of control/monitor terminals 9, 11, 39 and 40 of a transmission control system in an oil-mist or humid environment. SOLUTION: This console and the control/monitor terminal perform address setting and initial setting of the control/monitor terminal by optical communications or electromagnetic induction via a light transmission window 33 provided in the control/monitor terminal using the console including a data setting circuit.
