PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing discharging performance for a foreign substance such as a stone entering a tread groove and of exerting the discharging performance for the long term. SOLUTION: A projection portion 5 lower in height than a land portion 3a mounted on a groove bottom 4c of a tread groove 4 inhibits a foreign substance S such as a stone from entering the tread groove 4. When the foreign substance S enters the tread groove 4, a tire 1 rolls so that the projection portion 5 is pressed against by the caught foreign substance S. The projection portion 5 is artfully deformed due to fine grooves 6 extending in the tread fine groove direction in a location mounted with the projection portion 5, thereby discharging the foreign substance S to the outside along the longitudinal direction of the tread groove 4.
