PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating a thermoplastic resin, for suppressing generation of a bubble portion of a sheet member consisting of the thermoplastic resin without changing a shape etc. of the sheet member. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for treating the thermoplastic resin is provided with a surface plate 2, a heater 3 being a heating member, and loading members (a roll 4, a supporting member 10, a pressing member 8, a connecting member 11 and a moving member 9 which are shown in Fig.1). The heater 3 is used for heating the surface plate 2. The loading members are used when the surface plate 2 is loaded with the sheet member 7 consisting of the thermoplastic resin and when the sheet member 7 is handled so that a contact area of the sheet member 7 with the surface plate 2 becomes larger gradually.
