<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image identifying device for accurately identifying an image to be extracted at high speed even when the feature of the image to be extracted varies. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An identifying apparatus selection application section 22 appropriately selects an identifying apparatus from a weak identifying apparatus group, applies it to an object image, and outputs an identification result y(t). A likelihood value calculation section 23 calculates a likelihood value L(t) by multiplying the identification result y(t) by the weight w(t) of the object identifying apparatus. A likelihood value accumulation section 24 calculates accumulated likelihood value AL(t) by accumulating the likelihood values L(1) to L(t) calculated for the object image. A positive determination expected value calculation section 25 calculates positive determination expected value EP(t) by summing the weights of weak identifying devices that are not applied to the object image, of the weak identifying apparatus group for an object class. A likelihood expected value calculation section 26 calculates a likelihood expected value EL(t) by adding the positive determination expected value EP(t) to the accumulated likelihood value AL(t).
