摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus which can perform a high-speed initial reset operation without causing uneven exposure when taking a still image and thereby can perform a high-speed mechanical shutter operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging apparatus is composed of a pixel unit having two-dimensionally arranged pixels 100, each of which includes a photodiode 101 for converting an optical signal into a signal charge and storing it, an amplification transistor 104 for amplifying the stored signal charge of the photodiode and outputting it as a pixel signal, a transfer transistor 102 for transferring the stored charge to the amplification transistor, and a reset transistor 103 for resetting the signal charge, a vertical scanning circuit 202 that outputs a vertical scanning signal for driving and controlling the pixel unit for each row, and a vertical selection unit 203 that generates a row transfer signal for driving the transfer transistor based on the vertical scanning signal and generates a row reset signal for driving the reset transistor whose trailing edge is delayed by a predetermined amount against the row transfer signal.
