<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the image quality and service life efficiency of a lubricant from being degraded by providing a configuration for preventing deviation in amount by which the lubricant is scraped and hence deviation in pressing force on an application brush, thereby maintaining uniform the amount by which the lubricant is scraped. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The application brush 6 rotates counterclockwise to push up the lubricant 4, and a lubricant cover 7 guides it in an opposing form, thereby holding it in position. A slide member 8 for applying a fixed or higher slide resistance to the lubricant 4 is extended in a part where the lubricant cover 7 strikes the lubricant 4, thereby resisting slide. Accordingly, even if the lubricant 4 is subject to force in the axial direction 6' of the brush 6 due to, for example, bristle inclination of the brush 6, the lubricant 4 is prevented from moving, so that its end portion does not strike a side panel; and an abutting part between the brush 6 and lubricant cover 7 receives moving force. This prevents deviation in abutting pressure exerted to the brush 6. Since deviation in an amount by which the lubricant 4 is scraped is prevented, the lubricant can be uniformly applied.
