INSTALLATION UNIT FOR INDEXING DEVICE

The ease with which a mobile in-core instrumentation system can be maintained is improved without hindering passage through an access tunnel which has an indexing device of a traversing in-core probe (TIP) system installed therein. An installation unit for an indexing device provided in the TIP system comprises a base on which is mounted the indexing device of the mobile in-core instrumentation system which is used in an atomic reactor; a holding unit which holds the base in the access tunnel formed inside an atomic reactor containment vessel so that the base is suspended; and a hoisting mechanism which raises and lowers the base held by the holding unit together with the indexing device.
