PURPOSE: A rail monitoring system and a control method thereof are provided to perform maintenance, repair, and management of a rail by transmitting an alarm signal to the following train when the rail is trouble. CONSTITUTION: A train system(100) includes an image photographing unit(110), a position detector(150), a train operation switch unit(120), a train wireless communication unit(130), and a train controller(140). The image photographing unit obtains a two dimensional image and a rail temperature distribution image. The position detector detects the rail monitoring position. The train operation switch unit has one switch or more. The train wireless communication unit performs wireless communication with the monitoring system. The train controller transmits the two dimensional image and the rail temperature distribution image to a monitoring system(200). The monitoring system converts the two dimensional rail image received from the train system to the three dimensional rail image. The monitoring system monitors the rail state by analyzing the three dimensional rail image and the rail temperature distribution image. |
