<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle capable of performing the welding evaluation of a relay in a paired power cable by a simpler procedure and at a shorter period of time, for supplying power to an external power supply or to an electric load outside the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The power from the external power supply is fed to the neutral point 112 of a first MG (motor generator) 110 and to the neutral point 122 of a second MG 120, on charging a storage unit 150 from the external power supply. A DFR (dead front relay) 260 is arranged between a connector 290 connected to the external power supply and the neutral points 112, 122. The upper arm in each inverter is turned on when the DFR 260 is turned off. Accordingly, the welding evaluation is performed at the DFR 260 on the basis of a voltage detecting value between the power cable SL1B and a vehicle ground, and that between the power cable SL2B and the vehicle ground. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
