STEERING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle capable of inexpensively detecting the absolute position of a steering shaft with a simple structure.

SOLUTION: This steering device is provided with first and second turning motors 11 and 12 driven via first and second ball screw mechanisms 6 and 7 corresponding to each of turning shafts 5. By referring to detection results of first and second resolvers 21 and 22 for detecting each of rotary angles of the first and second turning motors 11 and 12, the absolute position of an axial direction X1 of the turning shaft 5 is determined. Moving amount of the turning shaft 5 per rotation of electrical angles 1 of the first and second resolvers 21 and 22 are made different from each other.
