<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmitting device reducing looseness in the rotating direction and preventing engagement of a roller by mistake during idling. <P>SOLUTION: A control cage 19A and a rotation cage 19B are incorporated between an outer ring 11 and an inner ring 12 having a cam face 18 on the outer periphery. A pair of opposing rollers 25 and a pressing tool 26 for energizing the pair of rollers 25 in the separating direction while pressing the pair of rollers 25 on the cam face 18 of the inner ring 12 are incorporated into inside of a pocket 24 of the respective cages 19A, 19B. A plurality of torque cams 40 are provided between flanges 20, 22 of the control cage 19A and rotation cage 19B. When the control cage 19A is moved to a rotor 52 side by an electromagnetic clutch 50, the control cage 19A and rotation cage 19B are relatively rotated in the direction reducing the width in the circumferential direction of the pocket 24 by the torque cams 40, so as to make the rollers 25 in the disengagement state. During idling of the inner ring 12, the movement of the rollers 25 to the radial outer direction is prevented by the pressing tool 26, so as to prevent engagement of the rollers 25 by mistake. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
