<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable terminal equipment with a television broadcast receiving function which can be opened and closed in a first direction and a second direction, the portable terminal equipment being characterized in that a television broadcast can be viewed on a landscape screen and the direction of display of an operation portion can be changed in accordance with the screen. <P>SOLUTION: A slide sheet 13 which displays content of keys of an operation portion in an operation surface side of a first enclosure 1 having the operation portion is disposed in the space surrounded by a keytop sheet 16 fitted to the first enclosure 1, a frame 6, and a pusher sheet, and is made slidable by movement of a projection portion 12 provided to a coupling portion 3. The slide sheet 13 is shifted by using rotation of the projection portion 12 associated with closure of the second enclosure 2 in the first direction to change a number arrangement for telephone call to a number arrangement for channel selection and also to change the direction of display by 90°.
