PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of the temperature of a functional liquid in an inkjet head. SOLUTION: A droplet discharge device is an inkjet head which has a nozzle plate and a nozzle having an opening regulated by the nozzle plate. The droplet discharge device is provided with: an inkjet head oriented so that the droplets of the functional liquid discharged from the nozzle are disposed on the surface of a target; a heater heating the functional liquid in the inkjet head; and a heat insulation member having an opening corresponding to the nozzle and provided between the target and the nozzle plate to prevent conduction of heat to the target from the inkjet head.
