摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide metal-containing fine particles from which metallic component (e.g., magnetic-material ingredient) is less apt to be released, fine high-molecular particles useful for producing the metal-containing fine particles, and method for producing these. SOLUTION: The method for producing metal-containing fine particles comprises a step (a) in which one or more polymerizable monomers containing an acrylic acid base ester compound of≥1% are emulsion-polymerized in the presence of an emulsifying agent, a step (b) in which the ester link of the acrylic acid base ester compound in the fine high-molecular particles obtained in the emulsion polymerization step is hydrolyzed in a given pH range and in a given temperature range, a step (c) in which the fine high-molecular particles obtained in the hydrolysis step is mixed with a salt of a metal having a valence of 2 or higher in a given pH range, thus the carboxyl group contained in the fine high-molecular particles and the metal ions in the salt of a metal are ion-exchanged to obtain fine high-molecular particles, and a step (d) in which the fine high-molecular particles obtained in the ion-exchange step are carbonized at 300°C or higher.
