PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for acquiring a picked-up image at a high sensitivity and at high color reproducibility, regardless of the brightness/darkness of an object by preventing noise, and to provide a camera. SOLUTION: A plurality of pixel circuits 11R, 11G and 11B for converting incident light into a charge by photoelectric conversion, and a plurality of white pixel circuits 11 having sensitivity higher than that of the pixel circuits are arranged adjacent. A transfer signal line TRNL is connected in common to the plurality of pixel circuits, while a transfer signal line WTRNL is connected, in common to the plurality of white pixel circuits 11. A row driving circuit independently supplies a prescribed control signal to the transfer signal line TRNL and the transfer signal line WTRNL to be able to independently control the plurality of pixel circuits and the plurality of white pixel circuits 11. The row drive circuit executes reset control for discharging charges accumulated by the plurality of white pixel circuits 11, to more than reset control for discharging charges accumulated by the plurality of pixel circuits among unit frames.
