<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin material inspection device can inspect with a constant inspection reference, regardless of thickness dispersion between each resin sheet, characteristic dispersion of a photographic device between each resin material inspection device, a characteristic change with time of the photographic device, or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This resin material inspection device is equipped with an area camera 14 for acquiring image data, by photographing a transmitted light image of a resin sheet for inspection manufactured by performing heating pressure molding of a resin material in a pellet state; a concentration-area measuring part 39 for detecting a defect of the resin material by detecting a defect of the resin sheet by analyzing the image data; a comparison part 33 for comparing the average luminance value of a pixel, in at least a partial domain of the image data, with a reference luminance value set beforehand; and a photographic device control part 34 for changing the exposure time of the area camera 14, based on a comparison result by the comparison part 33.
