<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice bag enhanced in practicality in home use by facilitating formation of an opening part from which rice is extracted and sealing of the opening part for preventing change and deterioration of the remaining rice, capable of being easily carried, and enhanced in safety in carrying by securing a large distance from the bottom end to a road surface or a floor surface at the time of carrying to avoid collision with obstructs existing on the road surface or the floor surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: One side 5 of a sheet member 4 in the longitudinal direction, which is formed with a composite layer having a Japanese paper 2 and a heatseal resin film 3 laminated on the back side of the paper 2 is bent, to seal the other side part 6 in the longitudinal direction by a first heat seal 7, and thereby a front sheet part 8 and a rear sheet part 9 are continuously opposed to each other. Then, one end part in the longitudinal direction is sealed by a second heat seal 10, and the other end part in the longitudinal direction is formed with an opening part 11. A carrying handle hole 12 is formed in the first heat seal 7, and a closure means 13, which can be opened and closed, is provided parallel to the second heat seal 10.
