<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method of cleaning oil-containing soil using a microbe of foreign origin and the microbe used for this method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: At least, one kind selected from the group consisting of Novosphingobium sp. No.2 strain (FERM AP-21566), Pseudomonas sp. No.5 strain (FERM AP-21567) and Rhodococcus sp.
