<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of conveying sheets, narrowing an interval between continuously conveyed sheets, without increasing dimension of a driving source. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This image forming device has a resist roller 18 arranged on an upstream side of an image forming section 4 in a sheet conveying direction to convey a sheet to the image forming section 4 with good timing with the image forming operation and a control section 23, which sets a stop position wherein a sheet stops in a plurality of positions on the upstream side of the resist roller 18 in the sheet conveying direction to stop the conveyed sheet in the stop position once and which conveys the sheet to the resist roller 18 with a predetermined timing. When continuously conveying a plurality of sheets to the image forming section 4, the control section 23 conveys the sheets with a predetermined timing from any one stop position, which is not continuously selected, among the plurality of stop positions.
