<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid material coating mechanism capable of stably carrying out coating of a liquid material in a short time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the paste coating mechanism 4, an auxiliary member 21 having a through-hole 21a at the chip end is installed in a movable manner relatively to a coating needle 20; a correction paste pool 45 is formed at chip end part of the coating needle 20 and the auxiliary member 21; the auxiliary member 21 is relatively moved to the base end side of the coating needle 20 together with the correction paste pool 45; the chip end part of the coating needle 20 is inserted into the through-hole 21a of the auxiliary member 21 to expose the chip end of the coating needle 20 in the lower side of the correction paste pool 45; and the chip of the coating needle 20 is brought into contact with an open defect 72 to apply a correction paste.
