<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel winding-and-driving mechanism for preventing winding-up defects attributable to sticking, on a driving force transmission shaft, a spool body, press surface, etc., of a liquid such as seawater, river water, lake water or dew condensation water and/or a coating agent for fishing line or the like, in driving the spool. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fishing reel winding-and-driving mechanism is configured such that, a drive surface 4 is provided with a plurality of holes each having an opening penetrated from the drive surface 4 to its opposite flank in the circumferential and radial directions of a disc 3. This mechanism includes the function of excluding, via the holes, water and/or oil on the drive surface 4, thereby imparting the function of suppressing the slipping of a drive roller 5 on the drive surface 4 owing to frictional resistance stemming from the holes.
