PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner comprising a heat conduction plate adapted to behavior of small animals such as hamsters or dogs or cats to enjoy cool air, and capable of cooling the body by lying down. SOLUTION: The air-conditioner for dogs or cats is characterized by comprising the heat conduction plate capable of contacting the whole base of a nest box or a rearing case for pets or a part thereof, and conducting heat over the contacted floor surface by heat conduction, or making the dog or the cat lie down, a Peltier element having the heat absorption side attached to the heat conduction plate, a heat radiation plate attached to the heat radiation side of the Peltier element, and a drive unit for the Peltier element. The air-conditioner provides countermeasures for preventing electric shock accidents resulting from gnawing, playing tricks, staining etc., by the dog or the cat by separately installing at least a power source without its loading onto the body of the air-conditioner, and connecting the drive unit to the body of the air-conditioner with a DC cord of a low voltage and a small electric current without making a 100 V flow to the body of the air-conditioner.
