PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform printing processing while switching between the printing processing where printing is performed using image data spooled in another image forming apparatus and the printing processing where printing is performed using the generated image data, in the case of printing a plurality of copies. SOLUTION: When starting to print the plurality of copies, the processing for the printing data received from a host is started, in the continuous processing, the printing processing is dynamically switched between the printing processing where printing is performed based on the generated image data and the printing processing where the processed image data is spooled in another image forming apparatus, then, the spooled image data is read out (S1002). In the continuous processing, when the mode where printing is performed by reading out the image data spooled in another image forming apparatus is lower in speed than the mode where printing is performed using the generated image data, the processing is switched to the printing processing where printing is performed based on the generated image data (1010).
