CYLINDRICAL CAN OF LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY USING COMPLEX MATERIAL

PURPOSE: A cylindrical can is provided to relieve stress concentration generated by the expansion of a battery unit jelly roll and to prevent the deformation of the cylindrical can by differently constituting the structure of the inner side and out side. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical can for a secondary battery comprises an inside which is contracted when expanding the jelly roll according to the rechargeable reaction of a jelly roll-wound battery part; and an outside which shows directionality vertical to the expansion direction of the jelly roll. When the swelled jelly roll is returns to the original state, the inside of contracted cylindrical can is swollen and returns to the original state.
