<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing acrolein and acrylic acid efficiently from glycerol contained in vegetable and animal oils and fats, originated from carbon dioxide in atmosphere, and without depending on the oxidation of propylene originated from a fossil resource. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing acrolein is provided by comprising a process of the dehydration reaction of the glycerol in the presence of a salt and an acid, forming a common anion on ionizing, and the method for producing acrylic acid by oxidizing the acrolein obtained by the above method with molecular oxygen is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
