PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a first print time, in the case of executing an authentication print job. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a calculation-comparison part 46 for calculating the position of an image in an area of image data GD based on the image data GD; an image forming means (exposure device 6 etc.) for forming the image on a recording paper; a fixing means for fixing the image formed on the recording paper at a previously determined fixing temperature; a cassette paper feed roller 8 for conveying the recording paper to the fixing means; and an image rotating part 49 for rotating the image data GD based on the calculation result obtained by the calculation-comparison part 46 so that the recording paper may be conveyed to the fixing means while conveying first the side having a large distance from an image existing area in the conveying direction of the recording paper.
