<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a minus ion generator capable of responding to design diversification and easily manufacturing at low cost and sufficiently diffusing generated minus ions and ozone and compensating defects that the generated minus ions largely disappears when the minus ions generated by a corona discharge method pass a positive electrode. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode 1 shown by the Fig.1 has one or a plurality of rings, and a tip 6 of a negative electrode shown by the Fig.3 is located in the vicinity of the center of the positive electrode 1 shown by the Fig.1. Further, a bar-shaped negative electrode 4 and an insulating film 5 of a single negative electrode shown by the Fig.3, which is not an opposite electrode of the positive electrode 1, are located on a negative electrode plate shown in the Fig.2.
