<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle cooling a power transistor without increasing air resistance by dispensing with a radiation fin. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The power transistor 7 mounted in the vicinity of a discharge port of an air blower 1 is thermally coupled with a refrigerant evaporator 6 in an air-conditioning casing 5 via a heat transfer member 14 excellent in heat conductivity. This allows the refrigerant evaporator 6 to cool the heat generated by the power transistor 7, thereby dispensing with the radiation fin formerly causing air resistance in the vicinity of the discharge port of the air blower 1. By dispensing with the radiation fin, the air blower can increase its air capacity to enhance air-conditioning performance. Also, the air blower 1 can be reduced in size, contributing to better in-vehicle mountability and cost reduction. Cooling of the heat transfer member 14 by airflow inside an air passage further enhances the cooling performance of the power transistor 7. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
