<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which can prevent a steam path from being clogged with undesired substances to be cooked such as curry or stew. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rice cooker comprises a limit means 9 for limiting steam discharge in an inner lid 4 covering the upper face opening section of an inner pot 3, the limit means 9 is equipped with an inner lid steam path 9c in the inner pot 3 side, an outer lid steam path 9b in an outer lid 2 side, and a steel ball 9a for limiting the passing of steam is arranged in the inner lid steam path 9c to limit the passing of steam, a steam filter 5 is arranged in the inner pot 3 side of the inner lid steam path 9c of the limit means 9. The steam filter 5 is constituted of a bottom face section with a substantially circular shape, a raised wall 5e arranged in the outer peripheral face of the bottom face section 5d, and a swelling out section 5f laterally protruding from a part of the raised wall 5e, a hole 5a group facing the inner lid 3 and in communication with the inner lid steam path 9c are arranged in the bottom face section 5d, an opening section 7 connecting the inner lid 3 and the inner lid steam path 9c is arranged in the upper face of the raised wall 5e, and a recessed section 5c in communication with the inner lid steam path 9c is also arranged in the swelling out section 5f.
