<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping member which can exert a damping effect on relatively small vibrational energy, and which hardly requires replacement or repair even once it exerts a damping function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This damping member comprises: a first supporting material 6 which is connected to an upper beam 2 so as to follow the movement of the upper beam 2; a pair of second supporting materials 7a and 7b which are arranged in such an approximately parallel state as to sandwich the first supporting material 6 from both sides, and connected to a lower beam 3, so as to follow the movement of the lower beam 3; and laminated springs 8a and 8b which are arranged between the first supporting material 6 and the second supporting materials 7a and 7b, respectively.
