PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter material by which the usable period of an air filter material is long and the collection efficiency is high. SOLUTION: In the automatically regenerable air filter constituted such that a filter material 3 is set so that it interrupts the whole surface of an air passing part opened in the forward and rearward direction of a device body 1, and a filer material regenerating device, which removes collected dust on the filter material while moving in the up and down direction and left and right direction when the pressure loss resistance rises to a prescribed value or higher, is additionally installed on the front surface side of the air passing part of the device body; the filter material is constituted of a fine fiber such as a polyester and at least two kinds of fibers including a mixedly spinned fiber having a woven fiber diameter of 5-50 μm or a mixedly spinned fiber having a woven fiber diameter of 50-80 μm are used.
