A door lock device characterized by comprising: a hook supported on a base plate rotatably between the holding position and the releasing position of a striker and biased to the releasing position of the striker; a ratchet supported on the base plate rotatably between a latch position where the ratchet is engageable with the hook and an unlatch position where the ratchet is not engageable with the hook; a ratchet control means which restricts the rotation of the hook from the holding position to the releasing position of the striker by the ratchet held at the latch position in such a state that a door is fully closed, which releases the engagement of the ratchet with the hook by rotating the ratchet from the latch position to the unlatch position when the door in a fully closed state is opened, and which returns the ratchet to the latch position when the hook reaches the releasing position of the striker; and a detection means for detecting the opening of the door by returning the ratchet from the unlatch position to the latch position by the ratchet control means when the door is opened.
