The injector (1) has an actuator (15) connected with a control piston (27), which limits a control chamber (31) with a front surface (29) such that the volume of the control chamber is increased during a movement of the actuator in the direction of an injection valve element (3). The control chamber is connected with another control chamber (45) hydraulically. The latter control chamber is limited by another front surface (47) of the injection valve element.
