To obtain an activity sensor, particularly for controlling the stimulation frequency of a pace-maker, with simple structure and high noise suppression, the sensor consisting of a body held at one end and placed into vibrations by the activity to be determined, a stop (3) is provided along the body (1) at a distance from the latter, onto which stop the body (1) impinges if the vibration is sufficiently large. The signal generated during this event is used for determining a measure of the activity. <IMAGE>
