<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve high-rate discharge characteristics of a battery using an electrode material of a lithium secondary battery wherein a conductive auxiliary agent such as carbon is arranged on the surface of an active material particles made of an electrochemically active material formed by a transition metal chalcogen compound, especially, a compound having an olivine structure such as low conductive iron lithium phosphate. <P>SOLUTION: Carbon is arranged on active material particles by introducing a carbon raw material such as methanol to a heating furnace while agitating active material particles or powder of its precursor by using a rotary firing furnace (rotary kiln) as a heating furnace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
