<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a membrane electrode assembly wherein a constant water-holding property is provided with ease in accordance with gas flow path, in a catalyst layer of a membrane electrode assembly in case a fuel cell is used. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a membrane electrode assembly 10 comprises a step in which a solution containing an electrolyte and catalyst carrier conductor is applied on the surface of an electrolyte film 20 containing the electrolyte, to form catalyst layers 31 and 32, and a step in which the surfaces of catalyst layers 31 and 32 are heated for thermal treatment. In the thermal treatment step, catalyst layer surfaces 31A and 32A are heated to acquire a temperature distribution in which the temperature of the catalyst layer surfaces 31A and 32A change gradually from surfaces 31a and 32a on one end sides of surfaces 31A and 32A of the anode and cathode catalyst layers 31 and 32 toward surfaces 31b and 32b on the other end sides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
