<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate material having scratch resistance which meets the demand for higher productivity with a large plate, excellent in sensitivity and development latitude to a developer of low pH or an exhausted low activity developer, and excellent also in storage stability, and also to provide a resin composition for a printing plate material used in the lithographic printing plate material. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate material is a positive photosensitive lithographic printing plate material containing a compound represented by a general formula 1.
