摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller, lighter, and less expensive power transmission device than before for a hybrid vehicle for making the most of an advantage of using a plurality of motors in combination, and smoothly performing a gear shift operation so as not to interrupt rotational power, and a gear shift operation method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle includes: a power switching mechanism 2 for selectively transmitting the rotational power of a main motor (an engine 91); a first input shaft 3 selectively connected to the power switching mechanism 2 and connected to a sub motor (a motor 94), and a second input shaft 4 not connected to the sub motor 94; a plurality of gear trains 51 to 55 and 5R disposed with the first input shaft 3 or the second input shaft 4 as a starting point, transmitting the rotation power by selectively engaged with the shafts, and having mutually different transmission ratios; an output shaft 6 for outputting the rotational power transmitted by the gear trains 51 to 55 and 5R; and a control operation unit 7 for controlling the rotational speed of the main motor 91 and the sub motor 94, and performing switching operation of the power switching mechanism 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
