PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for a plurality kinds of models by which a distal end section body can be made common by the first endoscope in which a single concave lens is arranged facing a light guide emitting face for illumination and the second endoscope in which a light distribution lens group including a convex lens is arranged and reducing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A distal end portion body 1 in which holding cylinder fitting holes 4 are formed into which any one of a single light distribution lens holding cylinder 12 and a distribution lens group holding cylinder 22 can be fitted, by forming the single lens holding cylinder 12 for holding a single light distribution lens 11 and a light distribution lens group holding cylinder 22 for holding the light distributing lens group 21 in a substantially equal shape and size such that outer diameter sizes of them are equal and distances from the foremost end faces 11a, 21a positions of the lenses 11, 21 to the end faces 12e, 22f for positioning formed in the holding cylinders 12, 22 themselves are equal or substantially equal, is commonly used for both the first endoscope and the second endoscope.
