<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily calculate the size of a correlation window for precisely searching for a corresponding point. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A window size setting part 32 searches for a boundary pixel at a boundary of a standard brightness level set at a prescribed brightness interval in a prescribed direction passing through an object point on a standard image, calculates the number of pixels between the boundary pixels adjacent to each other, and sets the size of the correlation window to be used when searching for a corresponding point on a reference image with respect to the object point on the basis of the number of pixels. A stereo matching part 30 searches for the corresponding point by calculating the correlation between each pixel in the correlation window and each pixel in the correlation window set on the reference image.
