<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive image forming apparatus for using or collecting toner primarily-transferred onto an intermediate transfer belt without increasing the size. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a material S to be transferred stored in a feeder 40 is conveyed to a transfer position, if control sections 90, 91 detect conveyance errors, the material S stored in a standby conveyance path 70 is conveyed to a transfer position. A toner image on the intermediate transfer belt 11 is transferred to the material S.
