The liquid crystal display device (100) has a reflectance changing section (50), which has an area sensor function for detecting an input position from the external, and reduces reflectance of light emitted from the backlight (10) when a pressure is applied to a panel surface (100a). In the reflectance changing section (50), an air layer (50c) is formed between two elastic films (50a, 50b) in a state where a pressure is not applied to the panel surface (100a), and the two elastic films (50a 50b) are brought into contact with each other in a state where a pressure is applied to the panel surface (100a).
