PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acceleration/deceleration prediction device, an electronic control unit and an acceleration/deceleration prediction method, for predicting acceleration or deceleration before a vehicle actually accelerates or decelerates. SOLUTION: This acceleration/deceleration prediction device 100 predicting the acceleration or the deceleration by operation of a driver has: detection means 11-15 detecting a travel state; data accumulation means 31, 32 accumulating past data of the travel state detected by the detection means 11-15 in association with acceleration/deceleration information a prescribed time before the acceleration/deceleration by the operation of the driver; and a prediction means 34 predicting that the vehicle accelerates/decelerates in the same state as the acceleration/deceleration information associated with the past data when the past data similar to present data of the travel state detected by the detection means 11-15 are accumulated in the data accumulation means.
