<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector provided with a connector terminal applicable for insertion in both directions of widthwise and lengthwise and having a sufficient instant rupture resistance and provide a connector terminal. <P>SOLUTION: The card connector 10 and a connector terminal 12 include an insulator 11 fixing the connector terminal 12, a cover 13 assembled in the insulator 11 and forming a card housing part 22 between the insulator 11, a fixing metal piece 42 for fixing the insulator 11 to a base plate by soldering, and the connector terminal 12 includes a pair of platy arm pieces extending in a direction crossing the insertion direction of an information recording card 70 into the card housing part 22 and supported at one side from a terminal base part 17 and a convex contactor 18 having tilted inducing face toward the insertion direction and provided in continuation with a free end of the arm piece.
